We recently held the “Shimane Fair in Malaysia” for the very first time, in collaboration with the Malaysian food importer and wholesaler, Mamami Shoppe (M) Sdn. Bhd.

In recent years, Malaysia has shown significant economic growth due to its increasing population and a high level of interest in “health” and “safety and security.”

Seven food and product manufacturers from Shimane Prefecture traveled to Malaysia and conducted tasting and sales promotions at two local retail stores. This marked the crucial first step toward entering the Malaysian market.

The fair was held at “DE-Market” and “SEIBU The Exchange TRX” from October 23rd to November 2nd.

The event is also scheduled to be held at “ISETAN KLCC” for two weeks, starting from mid-November.

Leveraging the success of this Shimane Fair, we will continue to promote the further overseas expansion of food products from our prefecture.
